Tracking Delivery Progress with the Delivery Timeline

The delivery timeline feature offers real-time updates, keeping you informed about each step of the delivery process.

Accessing the Delivery Timeline:

  • Log in to your FIRST dispatch.
  • Select Dispatch on the side menu.
  • Find the delivery you want to track.
  • Select the delivery to open the Order Details page.
  • Locate the Timeline on the right side of the drawer.

The timeline shows status updates with timestamps, tracking the driver’s actions and progress.

Understanding the Duration:

The Duration is the expected delivery time. These are the ETA's the diner sees when they place their order.

You can find it in order details under Order Info.

Understanding Status Updates

Common updates include:

  • Requested: Delivery request created in FIRST.
  • Assigned: Fleet has assigned a driver to the delivery.
  • Arrived at Merchant: Driver arrived at pickup location.
  • Pick Up : Items successfully picked up.
  • Arrived at Drop: Driver at the dropoff location.
  • Dropoff: Delivery successfully completed.
  • Reassigned: A new driver was assigned to the order.
  • If the original driver unassigned the order from themselves, the fleet will assign a new driver.
  • You can reassign an order to a new driver or fleet.
  • Cancelled: The delivery was cancelled.
  • The subtext will report who cancelled it and why.

Updates appear in reverse chronological order, with the most recent at the top.

Important Notes

  • Status updates may vary by delivery provider.
  • Some providers offer more detailed updates than others.
  • Certain statuses may appear simultaneously if the provider skips intermediate steps.

Regularly check the timeline to stay updated, manage customer expectations, and address potential delays.
